Fatal Legislation was a thrilling 5 star read and the second book in the Karina Cardinal Mystery series. We continue with KC’s story, she is moving forward in a new relationship with her college friend Mike, who also happens to be an FBI agent.

While visiting with a Senator she finds herself doing CPR trying to save his life. After finding out that he passed away, she is in shock. When Mike shows up at her place he informs her that she is a “person of interest” in the investigation of the Senator’s death.

Why would she be considered a suspect? How can she clear her name? Will Mike be able to help her or will his job take precedence over their relationship?

This was an edge of your seat thriller. I couldn’t wait to see what was coming next with all the twist and turns. All of the secondary characters were great, they added a good element to the story. If you're looking for a good murder mystery with suspense, drama and so much more this is the book for you. Ellen Butler has done a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more in this series.
