Min's letter to Ed, accompanied by mementos of their short relationship, tell the story of young love between Min and Ed. Min is an average girl, considered by some to be "artsy", though she denies that. Ed is pure jock. They meet at Min's best friend's party which was crashed by Ed and his friends. We see their relationship unfold and develop, with each making effort and adjustments to try to appreciate each others' interests. Min is a film freak, so there are film references ad nauseam. This reader is much more conversant in the art of fine books than fine film, so didn't even bother to check any of those references. A serviceable story thanks to the illustrations by Maira Kalman.
