it was amazing

Oh, my heart! I absolutely adored Ari and the beautiful way that Chris Baron told his story.

Written in verse, ALL OF ME follows 13-year-old Ari through a summer of changes—both desired and not. Ari struggles a lot: with his weight, with bullies, with his parents’ crumbling relationship, and with preparing for his upcoming bar mitzvah. But his story is one filled with triumphs as well: he makes new friends, he develops a crush, he adopts a healthier lifestyle (both physically and mentally), in short, he finds himself.

This is the kind of book that sticks with you. I’m so glad it exists and that it will be in the hands of kids who need it soon. It would be the perfect addition to any classroom library and would also make a great read-aloud. As a former 5th and 6th grade teacher, I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
