really liked it

I won this in a firstreads giveaway.

First of all I enjoyed reading a mystery that takes place in Iceland. I believe this is the first book I've read set in that country. I did struggle a little bit with the names but it was worth the effort.

I can't really speak to the pacing of the novel because since I won an unedited copy a lot of times there where no paragraph breaks for change of scene and I had to go back for a second and figure out what was going on. It took a little longer for me to read than usual because of this. I have a feeling though that once this is fixed in editing that it will be fairly fast paced. The only other thing I had a little trouble with was keeping the characters straight. I think that was more my issue with the names rather than a plot issue.

I would definitely recommend this to readers who enjoy a good mystery and would be interested to read another book by Mr. Bates.
