really liked it

While this is a middle grade novel, I believe this can be enjoyed by any person of any age. The language is not dumbed down, and it reads just like any other novel. The characters are all intriguing, and the world that Carman creates is absolutely fantastic to imagine. Once the novel gets going, it really makes you want to keep reading: a true page-turner. Not only are there drawings in the book of Atherton and its creatures, but there are also journal entries in the back by Dr. Harding. After you finish the book, readers can go to to uncover even more secrets about Atherton. Also included with the book is a CD containing the book trailer, two posters, and a link to the online world of Atherton.
