it was amazing

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this, as written by a white woman, but having also read the author's notes, I see that she did at least grow up in the appropriate place and with "help." I've seen some reviews complain that the main protagonist was Skeeter, but I beg to differ, I believe it was Aibileen. The book began and ended with her, she was most prominent.

I have no complaints about how the book itself was written. Aibileen was a bit hard for me to get the hang of reading, but I caught on. Minny was a bit easier. The one strange thing, though, was the little bit of interlude that was not told from any one person's perspective, that was strange for me.

But I enjoyed the book, it was a gripper from beginning to end, hard to put down.
