really liked it
bookshelves: manga-and-graphic-novels, books-i-own, 4-star

Umm, there's a race of intelligent, speaking cats. YASSSS. Not gonna lie, that was my favorite part!

I really like the art and the world of Monstress. It was a little overwhelming at first - the world building is very in-depth and intricate, and you only get a few snippets at a time to better your understanding of it. I spent a lot of the beginning fairly confused and unable to grasp the world. It did get easier the farther along you go - the information is spread out over the course of the entire graphic novel, so by the end you have a better understanding of everything.

I definitely loved the concept and how dark the storyline is (and the cats, lol) and I look forward to reading more. I already ordered the next volume!
