it was ok
bookshelves: fiction

A young girl and her veteran father are found living off the grid in the woods of Oregon by a police officer who has a troubled relationship with her own adult daughter. I liked the descriptions of the natural world, particularly of birds. However, the writing was annoyingly repetitive. I didn't care at all about the officer or believed she changed in any way throughout the book.
