This one was pretty good. Wambaugh writes excellent characters; no shades of white or black here. Very realistic plot, as well. Like life often does, several things go on, speeding up or slowing down, until things come to a head. Wambaugh isn't afraid to show the consequences of either the criminal or police life, either. Characters, even ones readers love, die, either as a result of their choices or just blind luck. Plus, Flotsam and Jetsam rule!
