Kristen He was my professor in college.

Keren Threlfall That is really cool! At UNC? This is probably the easiest-to-read book on textual criticism that I've yet encountered. Of course, I don't agree with his conclusions on how we got the Bible, but it's nonetheless a helpful read.

Kristen Yes, at UNC. He's quite brilliant but he knows it. And he is desperate for everyone else to know it also. It can be painful at times. He invited me to take a graduate reading class with him (because I read Greek and one of his graduate students knew and persuaded him, thinking this was like some kind of gift to me) but I stuck to the big lecture class. I probably would have liked him better in a smaller setting. He lectured directly out of his book and we were expected to memorize the information and regurgitate it. It was the closest class I had to high school in that regard. It was almost ironic how un-critical it was.

Keren Threlfall Ha! Yikes! What class was it?
