All in all this way an okay read. I didn't expect the focus to be on the romantic aspect as much as it was though. So I think that's why I enjoyed it less.

The main character, Joclyn, is very focused on saving her best friend / love interest and it's pretty much all she can talk / think about. At first it was sweet, but I found it tiring after a while to be honest. You'd think she'd have other stuff to worry about what with magic existing, a murder occurring and being swooped away by people she barely knows.

The ending was very detailed - a whole lot of action for sure, but I found it a bit too detailed maybe? Could be because I was getting a bit tired of Joclyn though.. And that it was 5am..

All in all an okay read, but I'm not sure I'll be continuing this series.
