Thank you for the book I won through the Goodreads giveaways. This book has a clever premise: In an alternate reality, twenty-seventh president of the United States, William Howard Taft disappeared in 1913 and now he is back. The author doesn’t waste time explaining the how or why the time travel occurs but jumps right into the situation that everyone believes Taft is back and a tea party like group wants him to be president again. There is a bit of a commentary on how Washington politics work today, but I would like to have heard more about how it worked a hundred years ago. I also don’t think that ‘food safety’ is reason enough to jump back into the political arena. This book was an interesting light read.
