it was amazing

This book is just incredible. It is effectively an intimate photo essay about the impact of chronic health conditions on one’s partner. Rikard is a very talented photographer and his partner Zara is a brave, amazing woman.
Her conditions are some of the ’hidden’ disabilities that effect people all around the world. The book shows the reality of the conditions, the amazing manner in which both she and her partner deal with and manage the impact of the conditions while maintaining an awe-inspiring approach to all the implications, their relationship impacts etc. Etc.
For someone, such as myself, with a chronic condition that is ’hidden’ and life-changing, the book allows you to feel that there are people who understand and it is possible to be amazing even with huge hidden hurdles. And, yes, at times the book and photos are confronting.
For someone whose partner has such a condition, the book gives a new lens to look at the condition and provide support without being swallowed up and also enabling the relationship between you and them to not just survive but flourish.
For people who don't have to deal with such conditions, the book is inspiring and beautiful, and I would expect it to increase your empathy and understanding of both hidden and apparent conditions and disabilities.
I supported this book in Kickstarter, so I'm biased, and I still ask you to find it, flip through it, and buy it to support two amazing people and increase the understanding in the world of the impact of some conditions and introduce some manners in which to handle them.
