I cannot stress how mediocre this book is. It's pretty much a book because it is words grouped together into chapters on pages. This book is unexceptional in so many ways including the plot, dialogue, theming, and characters.

That said, I may have in a sober moment suggested that I wouldn't be against reading the sequel. I had a lot of fun complaining about this book and reviewing it's numerous weaknesses. Perhaps there will be a plot arc that will give the disposable flat characters some sense of person.

Look Doctor Who fans, you shouldn't *aspire* to be a Russell T Davies episode. You just shouldn't.
