Crazy Rich Asians (Crazy Rich Asians, #1)

A book about the obscenely rich and powerful of Singapoore’s elite. The first chapter, the prologue, 20 years before the novels events really set the scene and was perhaps the best chapter of the book. The next 50 pages weren’t overly interesting, with several boring subplots.
Each chapter is told from a different person(s) perspective. Some are good, but some are boring. The more I think about it, the book really had no plot, and wasn’t the strongest character driven novel either. It would be more accurately described as a series of events. The climax of the novel, where the action really happened was over in a flash and then it he book really abruptly ended, leaving several loose ends.
I also hated many of the characters, and how materialistic and consumeristic they were. The attitudes of several characters and the classism that existed annoyed me no end.
