really liked it

A good overview of the factory farm industry and efforts to improve the lives of the animals that suffer within their walls. As a vegan, I think extremists (like PETA) can hurt our cause rather than help it, so I am always cautious and do plenty of research on animal advocacy organizations. This book did tug at the heartstrings but also offered rational and important food for thought (no pun intended). I appreciated Runkle providing sources and his diplomatic but passionate approach to addressing issues.
