it was amazing

This was an intense and believe it or not ultimately redemptive tale. Perhaps McCarthy's sparest and most intense work. I still like Blood Meridian a little more, but this was starker and leaner. I read it while stuck in O'Hare hungry and hungover, and it made me a wreck. Did I mention how intense this book is? I was cold, tired and scared the whole time.

Leigh I felt the same way. It may be the most depressing book I've ever read. It sucked all the energy out of me page by page. And yet, the writing was so strong I couldn't help but love the book anyhow.
