bookshelves: artists-books, politics

Given that I often say that the United States has been at war for my entire life since I was born in 1953, either overtly or covertly, I like this bk very much for being such a straight-forward document of this. 1959: Vietnam; 1961: Kennedy's Inaugural Address basically setting up the US as the world's police force; 1964: more Vietnam; 1965: Vietnam; 1968: Vietnam; 1969: Vietnam; 1973: the draft; 1976: Carter's amnesty for draft dodgers; 1979: more imperilist justification; 1980: Reagan bullshit; 1982: more about the draft; 1985: Nicaragua; ending w/ a quote from Brecht.
