Well, I really like this series of books and I'm a big fan of the TV series - but this book was neither here nor there. I wont post any spoilers here, but a few things really bugged me - some of them for the last few books to be honest.

1. Readers are not stupid. We don't forget things that happened in the last few books. No need to mention over and over again that 'Bubba has one of the most recognizable faces' and other things. Honestly, why waste your and our time with repetitions? Sometimes a reminder is okay, but not when things get repeated almost word by word in every book - more than once per book sometimes

2. Some characters are barely recognizable any more, for example I don't think Alcide is dumb enough to try what he did towards the end of the book. And he should know Sookie better

3. Sookie has seen so many fights and so much violence, she shouldn't be that appaled by what's happening towards the end. She helped to plan it, she should have realized that it would end bloody.

I could write more, but I don't want to spend more time and energy on it. I really hope that whatever follows will be more like the first books, or I might lose interest in reading them or listening to the audiobooks
