This was my first real plunge into more of a fantasy/adventure-based science fiction, and I liked it! The story was compelling and the adventures were fun to read and while it was written in first person (my favorite), the supporting characters were well developed. For those who haven't read the original Frankenstein, this is a really good way to get interested. And the little hints to the original were fun to find.

I give it three stars because I didn't love it--the ending was poorly paced and the dialogue was cheesy at time. I know it was written in the style of Mary Shelley, but it was clearly written for young adults and I really dislike when it's so *obviously* YA (if that makes any sense).
