I absolutely LOVED the Uglies Trilogy and read it years ago, so when I found this graphic novel at a thrift store I just HAD to buy it. 😊

Set in the same world as Tally and David's adventure, this is Shay's story. It shows what happened during the first book, but from Shay's POV. I really liked how the story and timeline fits. Not to mention that the artwork is lovely. Even though everything is in black & white, it looks amazing. I also liked the character design, and how the Uglies looked compared to the Pretties and the Specials.

TBH, this graphic novel might not have added too much to the original story, but I thought it was great. And a lot of fast-paced fun! Not to mention that it's a fast read. I pretty (pardon the pun) much read it in one sitting.
