really liked it
bookshelves: fiction-historical

I liked this. I like the endless discursive digressions, I like the way Stephenson has his characters react to things in ways that reveal emotion without talking about it, I like the educational expository plinths, I *like* the ways the plots all-too-neatly dovetail into a finale. I *like* Stephenson's work, I like his quirks and tics, and I liked this book.

If you don't like his quirks, you should avoid this book.
