My brain is still a mix of emotions and trying to process what exactly it is I’ve just read.
Matched is a strange, but somehow interesting mix of the dystopian element of the Hunger Games & Divergent series and the forbidden romance seen with Twilight.
Cassia lives in a future society where death and disease are eradicated and instead of dating around until you find “The One”, there is a ceremony near your 16th birthday where you are matched with your perfect love.

This story was very emotion-driven, which was very unexpected considering the sterilized environment we’re dropped in.
Overall, this book is a good, strong opening to the trilogy.
