liked it

Palahnuik's books seem to follow a formula where the narrater seems fairly normal and then somehow falls in with really messed up people who are messed up in a very similar way to the narrator, and through the narrative the reality of how disfunctional the narrator is, is slowly revealed. It reminds me of burlesque, the way things are teased and revealed.

I really like that, and am sorry to say it doesn't happen as mush in his later books.
