it was amazing

Beautiful...charming...fun...non-sense. The words were crafted in such a manner that had a rhythm and tempo that made the reading that much more pleasurable. I love all kinds of mushrooms and I think Lewis Carroll did too.

As I read, I could almost hear Grace Slick singing about the White Rabbit. Oh, I had such a crush on that woman when I was a teenager....mgc

Kipahni I have mad love for the song and book too! Other tracks I would litsen to with this book "In a gadda Da vida"
"Nights in white satin"
"Stargazer"-Shelagh McDonald
schumann "about strange lands and strange people"

Pete daPixie I'm always pulled back into a memory of Grace.
Airplane live at the Bath Fest 1970.
Typically it was wet, and Grace got a belt off her vocal mike. "Shit!"

Sue Love the song. Must read the book. How did I reach adulthood (if, indeed, I have) without doing so.

Michael Maybe it's just a matter of having the time Sue. For many years, I was busy trying to mature, then too busy being a working husband and daddy. Now I'm retired and have the time to enjoy books I missed. My baby boy David, who recommended Alice is now 27. I hope I have many years yet to enjoy many more great books, and goodreads is one way to choose from the many....mgc

Sue So true Michael. I just read To Kill a Mockingbird last fall and finally all of The Christmas Carol 2 weeks ago. I'm catching up with my inner child or young adult. And it's so much fun.

I agree with you about the wish for time for reading. I've been able to devote much more time to this for unexpected reasons. I'm enjoying it.

Michael Sue...don't get me started on the "Id".....I intend never to lose all of mine. In fact...I want to retain as much of it as I possibly can. Being aged sixty-one years and retired, I am at leasure to do that which will aid me in keeping my inner child...mgc
