I literally just finished reading Don't Breathe A Word and I can't even put into words how great and magnificent this story is. Holly Cupala has put so much power and meaning into the book and I want to thank her for writing it. So much happens to Joy, the main character, and it amazes me how much she grows up in from page 1 to page 299. You go from meeting a broken, suffocating girl to one living on the streets learning how to survive. The secondary characters are just are just. You have Creed, the protector, who is just the sweetest guy but will kick butt when need be. Santos, the mystery but will teach you how to live on your own. May, girl with so much attitude but also her own kind of love. The scenery was also something I loved, taking place in Seattle. Even though I never been there Holly Cupala detailed so well I felt I was living there along with the gang. Don't Breathe A Word has a great message along with a great story. Words are power. No matter if they are good or bad, words can change anyone. I absolutely recommend for everyone of any age to read Don't Breathe A Word and hope it helps others gain control of their lives.
