c2011. A diamond in the rough, I think. I have a personal thing about books that have anything to do with hurting children in anyway so I was disgruntled when a murder of a child was the start of the book. However, I continued and then started to enjoy the book. In my view, there were a few anomalies and a few standard characters but as I read for enjoyment and not critical analysis - these did not really rankle too much at all. FWFTB: Chicago, exsanguinated, ghost, vampire, centuries. FN: Jackie Rutledge, Laurel, Nick Anderson, Shelby, Drake.
