I wish I could give this more then 5 stars!!!! It was a spellbinding,sensual amazing read!!! Book 1 was fabulous,but Denise knocked it out of the friggin park with book 2!!!This series is Marvelous and with each book it just keeps pulling me in deeper and deeper. If you follow my reviews you know that vampires are my thing and I have read a lot and while most are fabulous reads very few make me ravenous to read one right after the other! This series has everything I love about vampires and more. I love the history and back story of all the characters and in this book we get to learn more about the love triangle between christian,Michel and josette. It's hauntingly beautifully storyline with passion ,love,betrayal,friendship,obsession and secrets and if that isn't enough Raine the icy cold and deadly queen of the ancient ones is on the hunt for Amanda and the unborn baby she carries to be brought before her and the court .Their is a prophecy that a male child created between a vampire and a mortal will to come to power and raine knows this. With Christian off looking for josette who could actually be alive and in hiding.Amanda is left with Michel to guard and watch over her,but will history repeat its self will amanda fall in love with both of these beautifully captivating vampires like josette did and what happens when Christian finds josette.We get answers to all these questions and more!! And if you think the first book had twists and turns wait til you find out who Christians father really is,it will blow your mind!!! What a fabulous world Denise has created its intoxicating and fabulously written and so many great characters that I adore them all and has me totally invested in their story out comes.
