I'm about halfway through this book and I don't think I can continue.

Descriptions are pretty good, but everything about the story, from the characters to the dialogue to the setting, is completely unbelievable. Unlike an author like Jim Butcher or Laurel K. Hamilton, who actually engage the reader and make the scenarios carried out in their novels completely believable (within reason), Ms. Galenorn just...can't.

The worst part, to me, is the stilted, horrible dialogue. Even the sex scenes, gratuitous though they are, cannot save this book for me. I bought all 3 in the series, based on some good reviews I'd read. I should've started with just one and decided from there.

This book (and the other 2) will be going in the swap/give away pile.
