it was amazing

Molon labe, baby. High drama in exalted prose takes you into the one of history's most consequential battles. I would like to say it will make a Spartan of you, but maybe not. Still, Steven Pressfield does a masterful job of bringing authenticity to inaccessible cultures while keeping human conflict and desires at the forefront. It is a challenging story to bring forward and he has succeeded beautifully. Thanks to the Ancient and Medieval Historical Fiction group for pointing me to it!
