liked it

** spoiler alert ** It was pretty good, but not terribly deep. I read it in less than a day. Variations on a theme, I guess, but still enjoyable. It reminded me a lot of Constantine, which I'm sure rips things off of other movies. In fact, scenes from Constantine were flitting through my head in several parts. Then, there were also scenes from City of Angels in parts as well. Oh, and then Meet Joe Black. And the dog whisperer.

It was well-written. I think the author's ability to conjure up scenes speaks highly of his imagery skills and background in film and tv. That said, there weren't really many new ideas here, if any. Just a re-hashing of old ones, albeit in an enjoyable form.

It was pleasant. Not deep. Not new. But like an episode of Star Trek that you like to watch even though you know how it is going to end.
