Is God A Mathematician? By Mario Livio

The book's title intrigued me. The author raises the question in the first chapter but in succeeding chapters does not discuss or attempt to answer it. Instead he tells a number of stories about the history of mathematics. The tales are interesting and make the book worth reading. Then in the final chapter he again asks (but makes no effort to answer) the question of whether God is a mathematician. The question implies a sense of wonder and I had hoped it would be a jumping off point into something deeper.

As someone with a Christian worldview, I was expecting something more such as thoughts on how certain mathematical principles might imply a Creator. The title is attention-grabbing but to me does not accurately represent the book's contents.
