it was amazing

4.5 I always look forward to the latest Madeline Hunter and this series promises to be irresistible.
Ms Hunter writes with her trademark time period authenticity of a hero and heroine from different stations in 1798 try to resist the inevitable desire that builds slowly as they battle expectation and circumstances. The pace is subdued so when Miss Fairbourne and Southwaite come together the effect is mesmerizing. There was some elements I would have preferred not been highlighted, her brother in particular, but as a whole- quite delectable.
