One of the best introductions I have read in a very long time, I would even go as far as to say it was as rewarding to read as the drama itself. Bigsby puts into words what all people who truly love to read feel when he says, "It is, finally, a play whose triumph comes precisely from Miller's own ability to 'see it human,' to embody confused values, flawed ambitions, betrayals, denials, and profound disillusionments, in charactures who, fifty and more years later, still speak to us not simply because the issues they embody remain relevant but because blood still beats in their veins." Oh, I love this!
