it was amazing

Sentinel is a gripping, emotional story by Karrie Roman.

Ethan is reunited with Ben, after leaving without a word years ago. Together they go on a mission to find Ethan's sister's twin daughters who were being held by a cult. The girls are just 2 years old.

The whole story is compelling, with a plot that's intriguing, and a wonderful flow. This is a complex story involving some tough issues.

Ethan's running from his past, and has been hiding for a while. His story is difficult to deal with, as he is living with guilt that he shouldn't be carrying.

And the cult part of the story, which is an extremely large portion of the story, is written so realistically, with compassion, tact and understanding. As we are all aware of cults, and have read many stories of awful cults, this is just so darn emotionally charged.

As for Ethan and Ben's relationship, throughout the mission, they're able to reunite, but have some talking to do first. Wrongs need to be explained, forgiveness needs to be made, and they need to see if they are now on the same page.

This book contains mystery, suspense, danger, a cult, sickness and more. If reading about kids being stuck in a cult is on your do not read list, stay away from this one.

It is well done, keeping the reader fully engaged, with a great flow and an interesting plot.

I am thrilled to have discovered this book.
