it was amazing

I've been a fan of traditional fantasy for years but I think this is the first urban fantasy I've read. It blended a crime drama with a mystical story and I loved the combination. Ezri Trenton is the kind of feisty female character that I enjoy reading about. She's both capable and unnerved by the world-changing situation she finds herself in. I couldn't help rooting for her as she made an emotional journey to accept her responsibility and as she found a way to physically complete the tasks she had to do. I thoroughly enjoyed stepping into Ezri's world and meeting the magical community. Now I'm waiting for the next book in the series. I highly recommend this fantasy novel.
