it was amazing
Read 2 times. Last read February 23, 2019 to February 24, 2019.

I laughed and damn near cried and that was just within the first three chapters of reading Memento Mori.
For all its action, mystery and suspense, this book is packed full of emotional roller coasters.
In Memento Mori, readers of Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries series and new to Lexi Blake readers will get to learn about the 'Lost Boys' - six men who had their memories completely erased by an evil doctor and are struggling to find their place and fit into the world while on the run from various factions within the government (foreign and domestic) who want to cage, study and probably dissect them.
The 'Lost Boys' are hunting for the truth of not only how their memories were wiped but also who they are and that's how they find themselves in Bliss, Colorado.
Jax Seaborne, one of the Lost Boys, isn't just searching for answers as to who he is, he's looking for a connection, a place where he can feel at peace, where he belongs and he takes one look at River Lee and thinks she could be it.
River Lee has been going through the motions, living life one day at a time, numb to the world around her after the betrayal of her "husband" and the tortuously slow death of her father who died of cancer.
When River looks at Jax, the world around her shines bright, her mind and body alive in a way she hadn't experienced in a long time.
It's not all sunshine and roses though.
Jax has skeletons in his past, one's that are intent on hunting him down and River has deep trust issues and walls around her mind and heart.
It sounds like a recipe for disaster...is it? You'll have to read to find out.
Seriously, if you haven't already, grab a copy of this book.
It's a captivating, immersive, story that'll grip your mind and heart.
I read this book in one sitting and look forward to reading it again and again and definitely look forward to more books in this amazing series.
