really liked it

A well-written and engaging autobiographical reflection. Not one for your Mum, but interesting if you like being a voyeur to someone else’s life experiences. A mix of honesty and ‘look at me’ that aligns with her self-constructed Betty Boop intellectualism. There are plenty of funny moments and a number of poignant ones too - the chapter about her friend's cancer is brave and honest and even funny in places.
