Wow! This book was frustrating in the beginning because I read it on my Kindle. My advice is to read the print version of this book as opposed to an electronic version. There is time travel between 1964, 1985, and 2013. The print version uses different type face to designate changes. That said, I loved the content. This book approaches civil rights over the years and the characters are exposed to race relations throughout the decades. This theme made it an important read. It also made me think and I had to pay close attention to the time periods. If you like the concept of "a book within a book" or "a book within a book within a book," then this is a read for you.
