This book is like X-Men meets the Kick-Ass kids. It's told from a boy's POV that is spot on. It's filled with kids who find strength in themselves through quality friendships. It's about bravery, and confidence, and purpose. The brief hints of potential romance are just that, and you're not forced to witness awkward and unnecessary teen romance amongst all the action.

I am greatly disappointed to see this book won't have a sequel -- the reasons why make no sense to me. I can't see anyone not enjoying this book enough to make a sequel to it. With that being said, though, the story does close. Coming from someone who hates cliffhangers, I can assure you that while there is all this potential at the end to lead you to want a sequel, this story itself closes just enough and leaves you with this happy imagination of what would come next. You won't be let down.
