Conclusion:
This was a very, very powerful look into Styron's journey from near-suicide to recovery.
Bittersweet: bitter because of the merciless throes of depression he was in and sweet because of Styron's willingness to reveal his personal and at times uplifting
battle to find the right path in a dark wood.
While reading I could only imagine what E.A. Poe was feeling during his
own illness...slipping from pain to more pain.
This is an absolutely #MustRead.
