** spoiler alert ** Book 3 in the Adrien English mystery series. I didn't enjoy this one as much as book 2. Perhaps it was the occult/magic basis of the mystery that didn't appeal? Still, a satisfying quick read and nice to revisit Adrien's adventures again. I have just started book 4 - which I hope will involve A having a fulfilling relationship with someone who deserves him. I liked Jake in book 2 and held out hope, but found it frustrating that A couldn't see through the crap in this book and ended up getting sidewiped by J's lack of feeling and what ,in my mind, amounts to cheating. And yes I realise this sort of thing happens in real life all the time but I was a bit disappointed our amateur sleuth hero didn't have more balls (pun intended I guess) in the end.
