I found this to be a very quick read, really intensely and emotively written to compel a pacy read. I was drawn in by wanting to know more about what draws people to cults and what the experience is like for those in that situation. This ticked all those boxes for me and was a fascinating read.

To me (and this was confirmed in the author note at the end) it read less like a memoir and more as a journal that the author was writing to herself, full of raw emotion and self reflection on spiritual, life and business decision gone awry. The journey and full circle nature of the author’s experience is one of healing and growth, and is one that I think will be relatable to readers walking different paths to recovery. It is evident that the author has amazing determination and her success in life is a testament to her ability to overcome adversity.
