really liked it

Whoa. I need to organize my thoughts. More thorough review coming soon.

Update: I'm still thinking what to say about this book and all I can come up with is this book really played with my mind and I am compelled to read it again to look for the clues. And there will be questions which is why I think this would be a terrific book for book discussion groups. Readers who liked his previous book, I AM THINKING OF ENDING THINGS, but were a little turned off by the macabre topic may find FOE a bit more palatable.

If you have read the book and want an in-depth explanation of what one reader thought, read the spoiler responses to the question "What is the significance of the horned beetles? I did not get the big reveal? What the heck was this one all about?"

I love a good mind-bender and would recommend this to readers of Kevin Brockmeier's A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEAD, which will give you the same layers of thought that FOE does.

Thanks to the publisher for the advance digital reading copy.
