really liked it

This is a useful framework for implementing a rigorous product design and development process. The biggest problem I see with most startups / products is they start with going into coding immediately, or with technical features. This is probably because many startups begin with a problem for the founding team and so they build something to solve it.

However, unless you properly consider and research the problem-space and value proposition, you can end up building something which either doesn’t sell, or only sells in small quantities.

The framework in this book will make you think about how to approach new product development, and can be applied to new features as well. It’s quite scientific (as far as that is possible) but also flexible. The goal is to prove the hypothesis as soon as possible, or even disprove it. If nothing else, this will at least make you think about what you’re trying to build and hopefully avoid a lot of wasted time in the future.
