Although this is the first book in what is now the "Art of Happiness..." series, this was the second book I've read. The first one I read (The Art of Happiness At Work) seemed to flow and grab my attention much better. This one felt kind of clunky - I think because I felt it was more the musings of Howard C. Cutler M.D. than it was about the Dalai Lamas teachings. I didn't feel like the book engaged me until the final chapters on anxiety, self-hatred, and the role of religion / spirituality.

Think I'll need to read this one again, and see if it is better the second time around.
