really liked it

A truly amazing alternate look at vampires.

Like all of Butler's novels the themes in this book range deep and wide hitting on prejudice, genetic engineering, sexuality, political maneuvering, etc...

what if Vampires didn't just feed on humans... what if a symbiotic relationship between the two species was required and mutually beneficial?

(This was a much more satisfying re-interpretation of Vampire lore than Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series)

Remy I'm adding this to my reading list. Meyer may spin a good yarn, but Butler is a master.

G (galen) totally a master!
I can't get over the tragedy of her untimely death.

I'm putting off reading the patterinst series and xenogenisis series, because when I do, I will have read all of her work... and that will leave a huge void.
(is that silly?)

Remy No, not silly at all. Considering her relatively recent passing, perhaps even appropriate.
