it was amazing

First, as always, I need to thank Joe Mynhardt and Crystal Lake publishing for the opportunity to receive an ARC of this book. It's always a pleasure and an honor.

Rarely does a book actually break me. There are a lot of books that make me stop and go, "Oh my God, what did I just read"; but not many that just make me feel broken. A deep down, soulful, broken.

A SEASON IN HELL is just such a book. Kenneth W. Cain takes some very relevant, socially unacceptable, but all too common, trains of thought head on - racism, sexism, and bullying - with horrifying, and painful, results.

However, don't let that scare you. Deep down, it's a story of redemption and standing up for what is right - regardless of the consequences.

While the story revolves around baseball, you don't have to be a fan, nor really know anything about the game, to thoroughly enjoy this quick, but poignant, read.

I highly recommend it, and will even go as far to say it should be required reading for school kids (although maybe a language edited version). This is one that will be a reread for sure.
