really liked it

I finished the book in June, and it's a delight -- an excellent combination of sharp-edged writing and super depth on Mesopotamia, all wrapped together by an intricate plot and complex central character that kept me hooked all the way through the novel. Setting much of the action in New York City gave the book a strong sense of gritty realism.

A fine piece of work, it leaves you asking impatiently when the next book in the trilogy will appear???
