bookshelves: contemporary-romance

i first read this book few years back when i notice the high star rating that this book get in Amazon.

SEP was a new author for me back then and this is her first book that i read. And since then, i become a loyal fan.

In sum, the story is about Phoebe, a blonde bombshell who inherited Chicago Star from his estranged father. And the only way she keeps it, is to make Chicago Star an AFL winner.
Dan Calebow is a former athlete turns coach who would do anything to make his team a winner and he was understandably upset when he learns that 'a piece of fluff' with a dog name pooh is inherited his team.

Their journey to love is hilarious and will make you laugh your hearts out.

“You know that we've got a few problems we need to talk through before we get married."

"I'm not getting rid of Pooh."

"See, there you go being antagonistic. Marriage means learning to compromise."

"I didn't say I wouldn't compromise. I promise to take the ribbon out of her topknot before you walk her.”
